Get to
know Ms. Tonya

My name is Tonya Kneller and I have been a pediatric speech-language pathologist for 25 years! I am originally from Michigan and am a proud graduate of Western Michigan University…Go Broncos! I met my husband Tim while at WMU and we were married on the shores of Lake Michigan in 2003. We have two boys (Ben-19; Dylan-17) and our sassy rescue dog, Bailey.

I LOVE working with preschoolers and have worked as a public school SLP for most of my career. I currently work full-time in the schools, providing services to preschool students with mild-severe communication needs. I have also worked with birth to 3 programs and served as a teacher/SLP for a preschool language classrooms in Indiana and Michigan. I decided to start my own private practice in 2022, initially focusing on supporting gestalt language processors and their families, after completing a course through Meaningful Speech that ignited my passion for working with GLPs! I have continued to learn and grow in my understanding of gestalt language processors, as well as neurodiversity-affirming practices, over the past few years and have presented on these topics locally through my school district, as well as state-wide conferences and as a guest lecturer at Grand Valley State University. While I am passionate about working with gestalt language processors, I also have interests in the areas of apraxia, AAC, receptive/expressive language, and mild-severe speech sound disorders. I currently see a limited number of students after school hours with increased availability offered during the summer.
